Performs civil engineering, drafting, surveying and testing. HS diploma or GED and 5 years experience in civil engineering tasks or combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license. |

Good knowledge of mechanical procedures,techniques,materials,tools, equipment and machinery.Ability to read manuals and charts and diagnose equipment malfunctions.Possess current CDL or obtain within 30 days of employment (Street and Parks Departments). Two year vocational/technical certificate in operation and repair of gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment or three years experience in repair of gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment. |

HS diploma or GED and five years experience in HVAC systems. Must possess valid driver's license. Preference will be given to persons with EPA certification to work on refrigeration equipment and to persons with a journeyman or master electrician's license. Ability to use electric and arc welder. |

Technical Assistant-Two years college or two years training and experience using office and clerical procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. If in Network Services Division, webpage design, Windows 2000 Server, Office 2000XP, experience with SQL server, Html/Java/ASP, Wireless, Scripting Active Directory and Policies preferred.
Library Associate - BA or BS degree. Demonstrated knowledge, sufficient to perform essential functions, of practices, procedures, techniques and materials of library work. Skill to operate relevant computer software. Must possess valid driver's license. |

3 yrs. experience in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, lawn care, wallboard,using equipment such as forklift and electric boom, repairing overhead doors, waterlines, sprinkler systems. Read blueprints, perform drafting, design rooms for events, build structures, solder and weld, operate front-end loader, lift truck, trencher, etc. |

TRAFFIC CRASH INVESTIGATOR |
Investigates vehicle accidents. Must be able to apply basic Algebra in various applications. Possess valid driver's license and have ability to drive 1/2 to 3/4 ton emergency vehicle in traffic. Obtain certificate of completion from an approved accident investigation course within one year from date of hire. Must be available for call-out on a 24 hour basis and work rotating shifts. |
