• Digital data - free scanned USGS maps and digital aerial photos for most of South Dakota you can use on your computer. This site requires registration in order to request data. Some of these files are in MrSid© format. A link to the free viewer from LizardTech© is provided at the SDGS site. Other data files are in ArcView© shape file format. You can download a free viewer for these from ESRI©, Inc.
• Prepared maps and publications - paper and digital maps you can download or order.

Black Hills Digital Mapping Association - This group sponsors GIS conferences, usually two a year, in the Black Hills region. Participants come from as far away as eastern South Dakota and Minnesota.

City of Sioux Falls GIS - Interesting interactive and prepared maps from South Dakota's largest city.

Geospatial One Stop - an initiative by the US government to bring together public geospatial data from all levels of government.
