Rapid City Offender Re-Entry Program

ReEntry involves the use of programs targeted at promoting the effective reintegration of offenders back to communities upon release from prison and jail. ReEntry programs, which often involve a comprehensive case management approach, are intended to assist offenders in acquiring the life skills needed to succeed in the community and become law-abiding citizens.  A variety of programs are used to assist offenders in the reentry process, including but not limited to: prerelease programs, drug rehabilitation, vocational training, and work programs.

The Rapid City ReEntry initiative focuses on all aspects of aperson's reintegration into the community to include: family, mental health, chemical dependency, phyusical health, education, employment, housing, cultural acceptance, community ties, faith based programs, life services, parenthood, and mentorship.
